Community Support
Somali Refugee Action Group (SORAG) helps the community by providing an Advocacy surgery. This is a drop in service for anyone needing help and support.
Giving practical support and information, on issues such as housing, education and benefits.
Helps the community to understand government legislations, such as form filling, passport and immigration issues.
Translation and interpretation service for those who are unable to communicate in English.
Objectives
To raise awareness and interest among community members as to the range
of support services provided by SORAG.
To create and establish cross-cultural mentor / advocacy services that
move away from welfare dependency and are integrated into the wider
community.
